Mackenzie House

Built in 1830, Mackenzie House was the home of Toronto's first mayor, William Lyon Mackenzie. It presently operates as a museum focused on the life and times of William Lyon Mackenzie, early newspapers and printing and life in 19th century Toronto. In the fall of 2019, we provided a combination of electrified gas lighting and converted oil lighting in various parts of the house that required more light. The fixtures were period originals meant to fit with the existing furniture and decor.
