thackera gasolier

We acquired this Thackera 1880s Eastlake gasolier from a house in the Boston area. It had been poorly converted to a gas/electric around the early 1900s. We had to recast the gas keys from one original, full in the drilled out holes on the arms and fit it with antique shades.

argand light

What a find this was. This 1840s Argand lamp had been poorly wired and fitted with candle bulbs. We had the original shades and wired it appropriately. The original finish was hand cleaned and restored and currently it resides at Dundurn Castle in Hamilton, Ontario.

Client Restoration: The restoration of this 1950s Starr, Fellows and Co. whale oil chandelier was featured in the Toronto Star. By using old catalogs and images, we recreated the missing bottom and restored the finish to what was original at the time.

This was one of the finest chandeliers we have ever restored and sold. It was converted to electricity at the turn of the century with the addition of more arms for light. We removed them and restored the fixture in a period antique brass finish.

Client Restoration: This 1910 era 2 light Arts and Crafts fixture came from the front hall of a clients house in Hamilton. They shipped it to us and we coordinated on the finish and over all look. It was refinished in our signature brown patina.
