    Love these early electric fixtures as their design was predicated on the limits of electric light. The reason why the arms flare out was to give more light to dim bulbs and because early bulbs would break if they were turned upside down. This has all the hallmarks of a late Victorian light as seen in the ornate center body, filgree arms and rope tubing on the rod unit. Restored finish has been cleaned and relacquered with a lovely yellow, almost gilt tone. Rewired and CSA approved.
